Empowering Teen Moms
The Need
In 2011, the ministry of YoungLives began reaching teen moms and their children in Nashville, TN. It quickly became evident that these young moms were struggling to find safe, stable, and sustainable housing for them and their children. Whether it was a phone call from a young mom who had recently been kicked out of her home, an eviction notice that came at the age of 18, or a text describing a household setting of domestic violence, the need was urgent.
The Vision
By creating a safe and structured two year residential program, the Hope House of Tennessee will aim to equip and empower teen moms with personal and educational growth, economic self-sufficiency, and a deeper understanding of Christ's unconditional love.
The Hope
Teenage mothers demonstrate incredible strength and resilience even when facing significant obstacles from the start. Despite their determined efforts, they often lack supportive environments for success. Our hope is to help teen moms see their worth in Christ and to come alongside them providing the tools, education, and space that will allow them to flourish. We are committed to seeing generations transformed.
